Black Canyon Lifestyle is a division of Black Canyon Contracting Ltd, with two decades of crafting exceptional living spaces in Edmonton and area. Our Lifestyle division has branched out to focus on bespoke saunas and lifestyle suites that bring the necessary and timeless ritual of rejuvenation into contemporary life. From traditional saunas to functional training gyms, artist studios, or family entertainment/theatre suites, we build additional living spaces dedicated to truly enhancing your wellbeing.

Michael Stolarz
Owner and Contractor
A journeyman carpenter by trade, Mike has been building and renovating homes and suites for two decades. He’s creative, funny, and kind — a perfect combo to design and build your Black Canyon project. Mike is known for his unwavering commitment to caring about the small details, choosing quality building and finishing materials, and providing outstanding client service for every project he undertakes.
Mike also loves bikes. A lot. His downtime is filled with mountain, road, gravel, and cyclocross racing and he’s now started dabbling in track cycling at Edmonton’s new velodrome.
Wellness isn’t just a part-time hobby for him, it’s a way of life. And he’s sharing his belief that we ALL can bring more wellness into our lives through near daily sauna (yes, of course he built one for himself and his family) and thoughtfully designed spaces that bring our physical and mental wellbeing into the foreground. As the principal of Black Canyon, he prioritizes spending more time unplugged and in nature with his loved ones, and hopes he can bring that joy to you too.
